is to be a highlight of the summer and provide your child with an unforgettable adventure. We believe that in the era of screens and smartphones, it is vital for kids to live in the moment and develop an appreciation for nature. Our campers will travel to world class swimming holes, learn new skills, make lifelong friends, and gain self-confidence in the outdoors.
is comprised of experienced and qualified childcare professionals who are passionate about science and the outdoors. All of our counselors are trained in first-aid and CPR, and have undergone a thorough background check before joining our team. Our lead counselors are certified wilderness lifeguards and our camp director has worked in adventure based summer camps for over 10 years.
are designed to be both fun and educational while promoting personal growth. Activities may include hiking, swimming, tubing, kayaking, zip-lining, caving, horseback riding, museum visits and a variety of other activities that are tailored to a weekly theme. Campers will travel to some of the most amazing places in the Southeast and may come home with recommendations for the next family trip.
Did you know that some of the best waterfalls and swimming holes in the country are just a day trip away? During the Aquatic Campology program our campers will learn about and explore some of the most beautiful lakes, rivers and waterfalls in the Southeast United States. Our excursions will include kayaking in the Blue Ridge Mountains, swimming among the fish at a freshwater snorkeling hole and cooling down under a pristine waterfall. It’s time for a summer splash!
You live in Georgia, but how well do you know it? During the Homestate Campology program, our campers will learn about and visit a few of the seven wonders of Georgia, along with other iconic locations in the Peach State. Along the way, they will learn how to identify the various plants, reptiles, birds and amphibians that are commonly found in Georgia (with a heavy emphasis on the annoyingly ubiquitous poison ivy). Our excursions will include river tubing at Georgia’s alpine Germantown, visiting the tallest waterfall in Georgia (over 700 feet!!!) and climbing to the highest mountain peak in Georgia.
If there is a rock collection somewhere in your house, the Georgia Geology program might be the crown jewel of your child's summer. Our campers will explore the unique geologic features of Georgia and may bring home a few select souvenirs along the way. We believe in the principles of leaving no trace, so your camper will not bring home any rocks taken from a natural site. Excursions this week will include visiting one of Georgia's granite outcrops, mining for gems and spelunking with a trained cave guide.
Do you have the kind of kid that yearns for adventure? Do they like to challenge themselves and learn new skills? Is your child’s age in the double digits? If the answer is yes to all three of those questions then Extreme Campology sounds like just the thing for your young explorer. This is our only program that is ages 10 and up. Our campers will travel to some of the most extreme (but safe) outdoor adventures that Georgia has to offer. Planned excursions this week will include climbing down into a mountain gorge, ziplining on the world’s longest canopy tour and whitewater rafting.
Getting ready for a waterfall dip in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This trail offers one of the most beautiful hikes in Georgia. Most of it follows a cascading stream full of trout. The mountain water is crisp and cool - the ultimate reward after a 1.5 mile hike!
At Campology, we provide a fun and safe environment for children to learn, grow, make new friends and enjoy the outdoors. While we understand and appreciate how useful phones can be, we believe that they are a distraction to the camp experience. Our camp culture is to live in the moment and be involved with fellow campologists. We provide ice breaker games and activities on the bus and many of our planned activities involve team building. Phones are okay to have for emergencies, but we ask that cell phone and smart watch use is kept to a minimum so we can maximize socialization. If your camper needs some down time, books or handheld puzzles are always welcome.
Campology strives for excellence in everything we do. Our staff members are carefully selected for their experience and skills. We prioritize safety and ensure that our staff are trained in first aid, CPR, life guarding and other emergency procedures. To attract the best in the business, we offer staff members a competitive wage and thorough training. Our weekly pricing reflects this investment as well as costs for snacks , gas, activities and safety equipment. First time campers get a 15% discount by using the code "campology101" at check out. If your camper has a sibling, be sure to bring them along! We offer healthy discounts for sibling sign-ups.
